Description:The Makeblock Me series modules is designed to be simple to wire, easy to program, the controller is compatiable with Arduino, each Me-modules comes with a Arduino library for easy programming. This is the Version 2.0,get upgraded version here.Me Infrared Receiver Decode module isdesigned for receiving infrared signals and controlling the robotics from the infrared remote control. The Infrared Receiver can receive signals well within 10 meters. It may not get the signals while more than 10 meters.The IR detector on the module is used to get the infrared signals from theinfrared remote controland it also includes a special decoder ICBC7210 on board, for decoding the IR signals. This extremly save the chip resources of the main control board, brings real-time response to the IR controller. In other cases, the main controller(such as an Arduino Uno board) is in charge of decoding the IR signal, this will cause non-response to the controller, especially there are other calculation need to be done by the chip. BC7210 is a custom IR decoder chip. It can decode the IR signal both under Philips RC5 IR protocol and NEC IR protocol.
